1. What Information Do We Collect?

Information you provide

When you register for an account, we collect:

  • Name — displayed as your community handle
  • Email address — used for account authentication
  • Password — stored securely — we cannot recover your password

When you participate in the community, we also store:

  • Forum posts, threads, and replies you create
  • Journal entries you submit

All information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate. You are responsible for notifying us of any changes.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain technical information is collected automatically by Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on the Site
  • Referrer URL

This data is used to operate and secure the Site. We do not use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It is a first-party cookie that is not used for tracking. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

2. How Do We Use Your Information?

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Display your name and posts within the community
  • Authenticate your login sessions
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the platform
  • Communicate with you about your account if necessary
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the EU or UK, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

  • Contractual necessity — processing your account data to provide the services you registered for
  • Legitimate interests — maintaining platform security and preventing abuse
  • Consent — for any optional data processing (such as cookies beyond strictly necessary)
  • Legal obligations — complying with applicable laws

You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent will not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

4. When Do We Share Your Information?

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following limited circumstances:

  • Cloudflare — our hosting and CDN provider processes all requests to the Site. Cloudflare's privacy practices apply to infrastructure-level data.
  • Legal requirements — if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority
  • Safety — if necessary to protect the safety of our community members

Your public posts (forum threads, replies, journal entries) are visible to other registered members and, where applicable, to the public.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use a minimal cookie footprint. See our full Cookie Policy for details on exactly which cookies are set and why.

Cloudflare may set cookies for security and performance purposes as part of their infrastructure services. You can manage your cookie preferences using our cookie consent banner, which is managed by Cloudflare's Consent Manager.

6. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal information within a reasonable timeframe.

Content you posted publicly (forum threads, replies) may be retained in anonymized or attributed form at our discretion to preserve community continuity, unless you specifically request its removal.

Automatic logs (server/access logs) are retained for a short period for security purposes and then deleted.

7. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We take security seriously. Measures include:

  • Passwords are stored securely — we cannot recover your plaintext password
  • Login sessions are protected using secure, signed cookies
  • The Site is served over HTTPS exclusively via Cloudflare
  • Database access is restricted to authenticated server-side functions only

No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized parties will never circumvent our measures. If you discover a security issue, please contact us immediately.

8. Do We Collect Information from Minors?

No. This Site is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove the account promptly.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@vibelabcollab.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Do-Not-Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not currently respond to these signals in a standardized way, as no industry standard exists. We do not engage in cross-site tracking regardless of this signal.

11. US Resident Rights

If you are a resident of California or another US state with applicable privacy laws, you may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. For any other rights under applicable state law, please contact us and we will respond appropriately.
